Gers star Lewis Macleod hopes the club's link-up with SAMH will get more folk exercising and help boost mental health

The Rangers Charity Foundation has teamed up with the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) to urge more Scots to get fit and active.

Rangers and SAMH have produced a series of adverts and posters to encourage the club's fans to get off their sofas and work up a sweat. They will appear on buses across the city and on the Subway as well as in the Rangers matchday programme and media outlets.

Lewis said: "Physical activity can make a huge difference to mental health. It can boost mood, alleviate depression, protect against anxiety and improve self-esteem."

About time the press paid attention to the charity work that Rangers do.
