The Shows Go On: Bill Cosby Still Listed to Perform at Tarrytown Music Hall Dec. 6

As sexual assault allegations swirl around the performer, officials for the venue say they are contractually obligated to host the two shows

Embattled comedian and actor Bill Cosby is scheduled to perform two shows at the Tarrytown Music Hall on Dec. 6, and despite sexual assault allegations swirling around the performer, Bjorn Olsson, executive director of the venue took to the theater’s Facebook page to explain why the shows have not been canceled.

Essentially, the venue cannot cancel the shows without taking a huge financial hit, Olsson explains, in part because its contract is with the promoter of the shows, not Cosby directly.

The Facebook post has generated a host of comments, with some people thanking Olsson for the explanation and/or saying that fans can boycott the shows if they want to, but they should not direct their anger at the venue. Below is Olsson’s Facebook post:
