Warner Bros. is pushing back the release of its lavish fairytale Pan.

The film had been slated for a July 17 release but will instead open Oct. 9.

Directed by Joe Wright, Pan features newcomer Levi Miller in the title role. Set during World War II, the story sees the orphan kidnapped and brought to Neverland, where he encounters a colorful cast of characters and learns his destiny — to save the realm from Hugh Jackman’s fearsome pirate Blackbeard.

Pan also features Garrett Hedlund as a young Hook and Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily; Amanda Seyfried also stars.

The 3D film was shot in London last year.
