Happy New Years eve everyone! Well, if you are in the Australian region, happy New Years to you! To celebrate, Google has a world wide New Years Eve logo, aka Doodle, on their home page for 2014. The logo, when you click on it, takes you to a query for [2014 trending topics], which shows you the highlights for 2014.

The Google 2014 New Years Eve logo incorporates many of the trending topics of 2014. It highlights the 2014 World Cup, the Philae robotic lander, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Flappy Bird, and the Mars Orbiter Mission. The logo was designed by a guest named Cindy Suen. She said on Twitter:

Yahoo and Dogpile and others don't have anything yet but I suspect by New Years, they will have something live.
