Awake NY 2014 Fall/Winter Lookbook
Perpetually steeped in its New York City heritage, Awake NY presents its lookbook for Fall/Winter
Perpetually steeped in its New York City heritage, Awake NY presents its lookbook for Fall/Winter 2014 in the final days of the year. This time around, designer Angelo Baque drew inspiration from the early 1980s and ’90s, touching on cult favorites such as Clerks and Barry Levinson’s Diner for aesthetic cues.
Accordingly, Awake’s latest addresses a very specific kind of East Coast sensibility, classically grungy yet simultaneously refined with rebellious prep school stylings. The brand reprises its relationship with Gitman Brothers to produce several button-downs, while elsewhere employing a local New York City manufacturer to produce its wool trench coats and trousers. Capping off the collection is a slick varsity jacket created in conjunction with none other than Golden Bear. Although honest to East Coast American aesthetics, this collection is exclusively available via SHIPS Jet Blue in Japan.
