Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is going to run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. Bet on it.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is going to run for the nomination. Guaranteed.

Mitt Romney is going to run for the nomination. Be still my heart.

I really think it will come down to Jeb and Marco.

And who gets the nomination?

Bush would have a better chance of actually winning the general election.

He is more moderate, he could get cross-over votes, he would have a chance.

But Republicans don’t do moderate.

They want candidates who march to the GOP orthodoxy.

That’s why they make big news in Republican primaries, but can’t win when the entire country votes.

And that’s why I see Rubio getting the Republican nomination.

He is definitely articulate.

And he will obviously appeal to the fast-growing and important Hispanic vote.

Plus – and this is most important to Republicans – he is viewed as a real conservative.

At least more conservative than Bush, who is viewed as too moderate (translation: too sane).

Marco Rubio will get the Republican nomination. You read it here first.

What do you think? Will Marco beat Jeb for the GOP nomination?
