I’m so devastated. I found out about the news at work and I was so in shock I had to lock myself in the restroom because I didn’t know what to do with myself. I’ve cried so many times today, my heart goes to everybody who has been touched by this tragedy but specially the Tomlinson-Deakin family.

She was an incredible woman who was always willing to help and who fought hard to raise some pretty amazing kids. These last few months must have been incredibly hard for her and her loved ones. Rest in peace, you beautiful soul.

Please, if you want to help sign up in your country’s bone marrow registry or become a stem cell donor. It’s really, really easy and you can help save someone’s life if you’re compatible.

PROJECT JUST HOLD ON

projectjholdon:

This is a project to ensure the success of Steve Aoki feat. Louis Tomlinson’s single “Just Hold On” - a tribute to Louis’ late mother, Johannah Deakin, who passed away on December 7th 2016.

As a fandom we can do anything we put our minds to, and as such, we’d love to see this beautiful and moving tribute to a truly inspiring woman recognised and appreciated as far and wide as possible.

We’re going to be asking for your help a lot over the coming weeks but for now we’d love it if you could follow us to keep up to date with the project. Once the single’s out, we’ll be able to really get to work. If you’ve got any questions, suggestions or if you’d like to help, please let us know.

Mhiya, as someone with some experience in leukaemia research and treatment i’d like to ask people to have a little think about potentially signing up to your country’s bone marrow registry. if you’re thinking of things like ‘my sister’s keeper’ then please don’t, most bone marrow donations are now done through a series of injections and then a process like donating platelets.

you can donate from age 16. it’s particularly important for POC to sign up to the registry as we don’t have a lot of POC donors, leading it difficult for POC to find a match! your donations can be used anywhere around the world. 2/3 of people who need bone marrow don’t have a match within their families and so need to use unrelated donors found through registries.

joining the registry is as simple as spitting into a pot so they can test your cheek cells to find your specific profile.

Hellooo!

So first of all I want to say thank you for all the lovely messages you have sent me during the last couple of weeks (I’m just seeing them now, sorry!) and I also want to apologise because some people were really worried. I honestly didn’t expect people to actually wonder about my safety, I’m really touched and very sorry.

FEAR NOT! I’m perfectly okay :)

I’m not leaving for good, I’m just taking a break. I will be coming back at some point but I don’t know really when.

Since I decided to make this post I might as well be honest with you all.
