After years of dormancy, The Chemical Brothers emerged last October, joining Lorde and Miguel on the explosive Hunger Games track “This Is Not A Game”. Now, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons have returned with even more big news: They have a new album called Born in the Echoes coming out in July.

The follow-up to 2010’s Further will reportedly feature collaborations with St. Vincent, Beck, Q-Tip, and Cate Le Bon, among others. In anticipation, the UK outfit’s let loose “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted”.

Premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 program, the new song is a hypnotic juggernaut, flooded with beats that seem to rain down like a relentless volley of punches. It’s the Chemical Brothers’ first original cut in about five years, but you’d hardly be able to tell from its self-assured intensity. Listen in below.
