Young St Helens front-rower Jordan Hand has rejoined Whitehaven on loan for the 2015 season.

The 21-year-old has played three times for the Super League champions since making his debut in 2013 and signed a new deal with former Saints boss Nathan Brown the same year.

He made 20 appearances for the Cumbrians last season and St Helens chief executive Mike Rush said: "Jordan did well on dual registration at Whitehaven last season so to join that club on loan for the coming season seemed the perfect fit.

"He is a good young prop who needs to be playing week-in week-out and this loan period will allow him to gain valuable game time and continue his development."

New Saints boss Keiron Cunningham has the ability to recall academy graduate Hand after the first four weeks of his loan at 48 hours notice.

He will also continue to train with his Langtree Park club as well as taking part in sessions at Whitehaven.
