Bears' Marc Trestman 'addressing' Twitter attack on daughters

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman declined to get into specifics, but said Wednesday his family is addressing the harassment his daughters were subjected to on Twitter during and after Sunday’s loss to the Green Bay Packers.

“No. 1, that’s a personal issue. That’s a family issue, and we’ll work through that,” Trestman said.

During and after Chicago’s 55-14 loss at Green Bay on Sunday, several people on Twitter sent angry messages directed to Trestman’s daughters, and some of those posts included vulgar remarks and threats.

The situation escalated to a level that forced Sarahanne Trestman to protect her Twitter account.

“The thing that that brings up is that there’s another side of the coin and there’s a lot of support out there for my family and for what we’re going through during this adversity,” Marc Trestman said Wednesday. “I try to find the glass loaded up with good things, too. But that’s personal and we’re addressing that.”
