Fit As A Fiddle 5K this Saturday in Athens

ATHENS, Alabama--In conjunction with the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention, the City of Athens Relay for Life Team hosts the annual Fit As A Fiddle 5K this Saturday at 8 a.m. to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Starting at the Sportsplex, the route goes from the Kid's Dugout parking lot to the Swan Creek Greenway, halfway around the track at Athens High School (to the parking lot just south of the school) back to the track, along the Greenway and back to the Sportsplex.

The Athens Dulcimers will play fiddle tunes at the finish line in honor of the Fiddlers Convention.

Late registration is $25. Those interested can register online at Active.com or print a registration form from www.athensal.us. You can also register Saturday morning at 6 a.m.
