This is the one Telltale game left I haven't played. I guess it's time!

It would be great to have a Bioware game based on Game of Thrones.

OculusRift3395d ago

No thanks. I like series how it is. I would rather have the series not ruined by sudden and unnecessary political correctness and half of the cast suddenly becoming homosexual because "it builds character and adds to development".

I was thinking of an rpg that fused Game of Thrones excellent story telling and characters with Bioware's expertise of rpg making. I wasn't even thinking of the PC aspect of it.

There are gay characters in Game of Thrones you know.

EDIT:It's funny that the PC aspects of Bioware games are the first thing you think of. I'm heterosexual and I've never been fussed about the relationship aspects of their games, they've made great rpgs, the rpg aspect is what I care about.

As far as that part of the games go I think they are experts. Take your PC crap elsewhere.

I think they both sucks. Tell Tale's constant rehash of their engine is wearing on me, and Bioware's political correctness is ill suited to the brutal GoT universe where homosexuality is frowned upon by courtly politics.

@Crash
That's not my point, but judging by your response.. it doesn't seem you got it anyway.

It's obvious you've truly never played older Bioware games WHEN THEY were actually fun and not fueled by someone's person agenda to get some point across. If you'd like to talk about the RPG aspect of their recent games, you must like slow filler packed MMO-type games that they've been producing as of late and some people seem to gobble that crap up. Sure, you can play a Bioware game if you like doing unnecessary tasks that add nothing to the story, a horrible combat system, glitches for days, a 2-bit story that will make you ask yourself "Wtf is this? What's that supposed to mean? Why on earth did I just waste my time?", seemingly open areas that are nothing but jam-packed with invisible walls, NPCs to have to work with that add nothing of value and a speech system that adds nothing to the story as it i'll play out the same no matter that you do. If you like playing games like that, more power to you. Also, the bit about your sexuality? I couldn't care less. Who cares? Certainly not me.

@Max
TellTale and Bioware should stay away from GoT. They can't write a good story to save their lives.

Never understood why people like telltale games as much.. they feel very generic to me. Simplistic graphics don't help neither when the characters are trying to convey any sense of emotion.

The illusion of choices might sell it. The game does in fact a pretty good job at making you think the decisions you make are important and constantly reminding you of it "X will remember"...

Matter of taste I guess.

LaWiiG3395d ago

I think most of it is embedded in the art form. Point-and-click adventures were long lost until Telltale decided to bring them back with vengeance. Yes, it's preference, but they have become masters at their craft. I think part of it is pop culture too.

Angry tears. Very, very angry tears.

Gatsu2895d ago

I would add a certain character from Life is Strange to the list.

Gears of War 3 for me. Just heartbreaking to see that brother hood being broken with Marcus losing his one close friend like that. I don't know to many ppl who didn't choke up.

Game of Thrones – Episode 1: Iron From Ice Review (Game Freaks 365)

Game of Thrones has enthralled fans through its hit HBO television series and the George R. R. Martin books. The action is gritty and the political drama intriguing. Most important to the series’ success is that the characters illicit an emotional response for their duplicity, occasional knuckleheaded decisions, and brazen acts of cruelty. The winding plot with its multiple perspectives and intersecting storylines lends itself well to a video game.
