Telltale + G.R.R. Martin's A Song Of Ice and Fire universe = great success? Let's find out.
Richie at IGCritic tells of video game deaths that took him by surprise.
Danny at IGCritic notes down his personal most shocking deaths in games. Danny writes "When people speak of the most shocking video game deaths or the saddest video game deaths, it’s a sure bet that these five will be near the top of their list. After all, we spend hours upon hours with these characters"
Gears of War 3 for me. Just heartbreaking to see that brother hood being broken with Marcus losing his one close friend like that. I don't know to many ppl who didn't choke up.
Game of Thrones has enthralled fans through its hit HBO television series and the George R. R. Martin books. The action is gritty and the political drama intriguing. Most important to the series’ success is that the characters illicit an emotional response for their duplicity, occasional knuckleheaded decisions, and brazen acts of cruelty. The winding plot with its multiple perspectives and intersecting storylines lends itself well to a video game.
This is the one Telltale game left I haven't played. I guess it's time!
It would be great to have a Bioware game based on Game of Thrones.
Never understood why people like telltale games as much.. they feel very generic to me. Simplistic graphics don't help neither when the characters are trying to convey any sense of emotion.
The illusion of choices might sell it. The game does in fact a pretty good job at making you think the decisions you make are important and constantly reminding you of it "X will remember"...
Matter of taste I guess.
