You can Help Provide the Fixings for Holiday Dinner to Cortlandt Residents in Need

The Community Center of Northern Westchester needs food donations—things like frozen turkeys, cake mixes, flour and sugar, coffee and tea.

Families from 36 communities in northern Westchester use the food pantry run by the Community Center of Northern Westchester as a source for special ingredients for holiday dinners.

This year, the organizers hope to help 700 families in communities from Armonk to Yorktown, including Buchanan, Cortlandt Manor and Verplanck.

“Our holiday food drive is in full swing, and we hope to distribute special foods during November and December to struggling families,” says Jessie Jafet, communications manager for the Community Center of Northern Westchester. “We especially need frozen turkeys and other meats to provide a centerpiece for these meals.”
