Miley Cyrus covers up in slinky silver gown to pick up two gongs at World Music Awards... and brings 'hawt' brother Braison as her date

She has been single since splitting from Liam Hemsworth last year but Miley Cyrus doesn't need a man to have a good time.

The 21-year-old singer is on a professional high at the moment, with her latest success occurring as she picked up the Best Pop Video: Wrecking Ball and Best Female Act at the World Music Awards in Monaco on Tuesday night.

And Miley - who looked stunning in a floor length Kaufman Franco gown - made it a family affair by taking her handsome younger brother Braison, 19, as her date.

Sharing a picture of them both on Instagram, a proud Miley wrote: 'My hawt date.'

While she is known for her outrageous on-stage outfits, Miley opted for a softer, prettier look for the awards.

She styled her pixie crop with a side fringe and chose minimal make-up, but highlighted he eyes with dark eyeliner.

Her floor length silver sparkly dress showed off her slim figure to perfection, proving that Hannah Montana has indeed grown up.

And Miley also performed in a strapless flowing gown, impressing the audience with her perfect rendition of her hit Wrecking Ball.

One of her awards was presented to the superstar by former love interest Kellan Lutz.

While the duo have been friends for years, they were romantically linked last year.

But Lutz - who found fame in The Twilight Saga - was quick to shoot down the reports.

'Are we dating? No,' the Twilight star told Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

The actor added he has a long past with the Bangerz beauty.

'I have been friends with Miley for like six years,' he revealed. ''We are friends [and] we run in the same circle.'

Reports first surfaced the two were dating when he was spotted getting off a plane on December 18 with the Hannah Montana doll after a trip to the Bahamas.

Then on December 28 during a Beacher's event following Britney Spears' concert in Sin City, the Southern charmer was seen planting a smooch on the looker's face.

Overnight it was widely assumed the two single celebrities had found a connection.

'These rumors are hilarious,' Kellan added. 'It just makes me laugh.'

He confessed he's very much on the market.

Earlier this month, the American pop star was performing at London's G-A-Y nightclub in London when she launched into a bitter tirade, seemingly aimed at her ex fiance Liam.

She directed her rant at her past lovers - 'particularly one'.

Screaming at the crowd before she broke into song: she ranted: 'And every time you get in your car, you’re going to hear my f***ing song on the f***ing radio, you piece of s***. That’s right,' Extra TV reported.

'And then I’m gonna take all my clothes off, I’m gonna sit on a big, giant d*** - sometimes two - I’m gonna swing around, and then I’m gonna hold the record for the most-watched music video on Vevo,' she continued.

The star concluded her unusual soliloquy by directing her anger at one person in particular.

'So I’m gonna tell those motherf***ers that broke my heart, particularly one, to suck my fat d*** and to enjoy hearing this song for the rest of your life. This song is called Wrecking Ball,' she finished before launching into the track.

It was a much more restrained performance of the track that she gave on Tuesday, dressed in a flowing gown and singing her heart out while accompanied by a piano.
