In 2012, Dishonored received excellent review scores and exceeded Bethesda’s sales expectations. We will likely see a sequel but did it truly get the recognition it deserved? Read on to see why COG's newest contributor Ryan feels it's one of the most important games of the last decade.
It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.
There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.
Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.
Dishonored's engaging lore, creative levels, and timeless gameplay are well worth revisiting for fans of the immersive sim and stealth genre.
Daily Video Game writes: "Xbox Store has just kicked off Arkane Studios publisher sale, offering up to 80% off on some of the best games from Arkane Studios, including Deathloop, Dishonored, and Prey for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One right now!"
This is one of my favorite games from last generation
I can't wait for Dishonored 2
Im not much for FPS stealth but this game was fun as hell!
It was excellent indeed and the way you can finish the missions was unbelievably awesome. I mean you can stealth sneak no kill mission , stealth sneak kill all, go loud and kill everyone or go loud and kill main targets only and the amount of freedom in playing the missions was awesome too. You can finish a mission in 5 minutes or spent an hour exploring everything. I really hope the second games has more missions and let us explore all of Tyvia.
Dishonored was a 10/10 experience for me. The mystery, the stealth, the different approaches, the openness of the levels without being open world, everything was simply amazing.
Next-gen Dishonored 2 would be incredible. I know its coming, I just don't know when!
