Play-Doh to replace toy customers say looks like penis

Hasbro is replacing a toy found in Play-Doh's Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain set after consumers complained it resembles a male body part.

According to Hasbro's website, the "2-piece extruder" was part of a toy that allows kids to create and decorate Play-Doh cakes. The Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset is for kids 3 and up, and costs $19.99.

"We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool," Hasbro posted on its Play-Doh Facebook page. "Should any consumer want a replacement extruder for this item, they can contact Hasbro's Customer Service Department at 800-327-8264."

Some commenters on the Facebook page said a replacement was not needed.

Emilie Sara Haas wrote, "I'm not getting a replacement. I think it's crazy that people have to turn everything into something sexual."

Other commenters made jokes. Tom Arthur wrote, "Thank you for erecting a new design to penetrate the success of your business model!"

Folks also took to Twitter to comment on the resemblance.
