John Legend and Common's Oscars Performance Literally Moved the Audience to Tears

Before taking home the Academy Award for best original song, John Legend and Common gave one of the most moving performances in Oscars history on Sunday night when they sang "Glory" from the film Selma. They took to the stage — which was made to look like a replica of the streets of Selma, AL, complete with a model of the Edmund Pettus Bridge — along with a group of backup singers who re-created the famous march that Martin Luther King, Jr. led through the streets of the small town back in 1965. Common and John put on such a powerful show that many of the A-listers in the audience, including Selma star David Oyelowo and the movie's producer Oprah Winfrey, were literally moved to tears; the camera panned to David as John and Common received a standing ovation from the crowd, and the actor was visibly shaken, with even Oprah asking, "Are you OK?" Chris Pine was also caught on camera with tears streaming down his face. Keep reading to see photos and GIFs of the heartwarming reactions to John Legend and Common's Oscar win.
