Talking in real life is more 'awkward' than on my phone

One in four 15 to 18-year-olds feel happier online than they do in real life.

The figure comes from a poll of 1,015 British teenagers, conducted by Comres, exclusively for Newsbeat.

Students Abigail, Aaminah, Aisha and Hayley have been chatting to Newsbeat about their social media habits.

They say talking in real life can be more "awkward" than messaging people on their phones.

And by posting photos and videos from their nights out, "everybody can see" that they are "having a fun time".
