Some couples emblazon their initials on cocktail napkins or party favors at their weddings. Of course, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are hardly the typical bride and groom. The couple, who kicked off their wedding festivities in Venice on Friday, have been featuring what appears to be a personalized monogram to commemorate their big day: a swirling, cursive “A” leaning into a block “G.” The monogram appeared on a large white hat box carried by the beaming bride as she arrived in Venice via water taxi with Clooney on Friday. “Venezia 2014” – Venice in Italian – was printed underneath.
