Florence Police Blotter: Report of possible domestic violence; woman dropped pan on her foot

Sept. 15

Frazier & West Second, report of a non-injury two-vehicle accident. An officer responded and one of the parties was issued a citation for following too close.

100 block of South Santa Fe. A female party called in and said she had an emergency and needed an officer and hung up. Lieutenant arrived on scene and the party was concerned about a hole on her property that she believed someone was living in. The hole was checked. It was believed to belong to an animal of some sort.

Eighth and North Robinson, a report of a small dog running loose for a couple of days. An officer responded and checked the area. No contact was made.

200 block of Church, report of an elderly male party in the area who looked confused and lost. The area was searched. No contact was made.

1100 block of East Main, male party reported that his vehicle had been broken into. An officer responded. The vehicle had no damage, the window was open, doors were unlocked and there were some items missing. Information was taken for a report.

200 block of Church, female party reported that a vehicle had just left without paying for their gas. Officers responded. No contact was made with the vehicle. Officers responded to the gas station to gather more information for a report.

County Road 123 and Four Mile. Officers assisted Fremont County Sheriff’s Office with three runaways from Southern Peak. Assist was completed.

200 block of North Frazier Avenue, report of a male party yelling in the area. Officer responded and contacted male party. Everything was OK; party was walking home.

400 block of East Fourth, officer was out with what looked to be smoldering embers. Embers were extinguished.

Sept. 16

Florence Police Department, walk-in male party turned himself in on an outstanding warrant. Party bonded.

200 block of Morgan, report of possible squatters. An officer responded and no contact was made with the reporting party. An officer will be follow up.

Colo. 115 and mile marker 15. A report of a vehicle that was swerving, crossing double yellow lines and possibly intoxicated. Lieutenant responded and pulled the vehicle over on Colo. 67. The vehicle was being driven by a male party and he was issued a summons for careless driving and no proof of insurance

Florence Police Department, walk-in male party was with a dog that was found. Animal control officer took the dog to the Humane Society.

200 block of North Maple, report of several parties in the area who were very suspicious. An officer responded. The parties were handing out bibles on public property. Everything was OK.

1100 block of East Third, female party reported that someone broke into her residence and took some medication. Officers responded and took information for a report.

400 block of East Second, female party reported that male was in a physical disturbance with her last night and today. Officers responded and took male party into custody for assault and domestic violence.

Florence Police Department, walk-in female party turned herself in on an outstanding warrant. An officer responded and party bonded.

200 block of Needham Road, officers assisted Fremont County Sheriff’s Office deputies with a wanted person. A male party was taken into custody on three warrants totaling $75,000 in bonds for numerous property crimes.

Sept. 17

700 block of Granite, male party reported that three dogs entered the yard and attacked his puppies. An officer responded and information was taken. Further follow up is needed.

Frazier and Fifth, a report of a male party riding a dirt bike in a circle at this location. Officer responded and no contact was made with a dirt bike.

400 block of McCandless, female party reported having a puppy locked in her garage. The dog was picked up and taken to the humane society.

100 block of East Fourth, report of a bike in the ditch. The bike was taken to the City Shop by a city worker.

Indian Springs Campground. An officer assisted Fremont County Sheriff’s Office with a possible domestic. Contact was made with female party and everything was OK; she dropped a pan on her foot.

100 block of West Main, a report of a two-vehicle accident. An officer responded and information was taken for a report.

700 block of East Main, a male party reported a van parked in the parking lot and believed the building had been broken into sometime during the night. The officer cleared the building. Nothing damaged or broken.

Maple and Main, an officer attempted to make a traffic stop at this location with a male party who slammed on his breaks and got out of his vehicle screaming at the officer. The party had two active warrants. Officer was able to calm the party down and perform roadside sobriety tests. The party failed roadside tests and refused PBT. The party was taken into custody for both warrants and DUI charge.

Sept. 18

400 block of East Third, female party reported a restraining order violation. She is protected party and male party was restrained. Officers responded and male party was not at this address. The male party was advised not to be at the property.

Wilmont Circle, Williamsburg, an officer responded to assist Fremont County Sheriff’s Office with a barricaded subject. The male party was taken into custody.

200 block of East Third, officers attempted to locate a party with an outstanding warrant. No contact was made.

200 block of Needham, a request for a welfare check on a male juvenile. An officer responded. Everything was OK.

Florence Police Department, a walk-in female party spoke to an officer. The party had an outstanding warrant and was placed into custody and transported to the Fremont County Jail.

Florence Police Department, a walk-in male party turned himself in on an outstanding warrant. Party bonded out.

Third and Midland, a report of a vehicle parked at this location with the hatch back open. Officers responded and made contact with the vehicle owner. He verified that nothing was taken and the vehicle was secured.

Sept. 19

West Third and Frazier, report of the lights at this intersection were not cycling through. An officer advised while on scene that the light started cycling.

300 block of Johnson Street, an officer assisted Fremont County Department of Human Services with a child placement and welfare check. Everything was OK; children were placed with grandmother.

1100 block of East Main, a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officers checked the area. No contact was made with the vehicle.

100 block of East Fourth, a report of a man grabbing a child by the neck and forcing him into the truck. Officers made contact with the truck on Colo. 67. Male driver was issued a summons for driving under revocation. Child abuse was unfounded.

300 block of Oriole, female party said she believed someone was in her house earlier today. An officer spoke with the reporting party and she is not sure who it was.

Florence Skate Park, officer was out with several parties at the park. Male party was warned to stay away from the park. The other parties scattered when officer pulled on scene.

700 block of East Third, report of an intoxicated juvenile. Officers made contact with male party. Two other juveniles were contacted and given a courtesy ride home.

North Frazier and West Main. A report of a vehicle with its door open and no one around it. An officer responded and made contact with the owner, who advised she must of accidently left it open and did not notice anything missing.

Midland and Fourth, officer was out with a suspicious vehicle and contacted a male party at this location. Everything was OK. At the time, party was extremely tired and pulled over to sleep. The party will be OK to drive home.

Sept. 20

100 block of East Second, female party reported that there was a vehicle blocking her driveway. An officer made contact with the owner and the vehicle was moved. Later, another vehicle was parked near the driveway. The female party was not pleased with this and demanded that it be towed. Officers and the chief responded and advised female that the vehicle was not blocking and took pictures.

100 block of West Front, a female party reported a vehicle parked in her space. The female party requested that the vehicle be towed. She was advised that the prime parking place was on private property and any tow would have to be personally purchased.

100 block of South Pikes Peak, a male party reported that someone had thrown a brick down their stairs and broke the slider on the door. Officers responded. The reporting party didn’t have suspect info and just wanted us to be aware.

500 block of Shadow Place, a male party called to advise the dog at this location was barking and won’t stop. The officers responded and didn’t find any dogs barking. The reporting party called back, officers responded, spoke to the reporting party and went to speak to the owner of the dog.

700 block of North McCandless, female party called and advised she thought someone was outside her residence. She heard what she thought was glass breaking. Officers responded and checked the area. No contact was made. Officers found a wind chime that had fallen and broken, and believe that is what the reporting party heard.

100 block of West Main, officers did a traffic stop. A female party was taken into custody and transported to the Fremont County Jail on DUI charges.

Sept. 21

1100 block of East Main, received a 911 open line. When number was called back, a female party said she was driving down the road and she advised that everything was OK. The officer was advised no action was taken because the party was driving.

100 block of South Petroleum, business alarm. Officers responded and everything was OK. All doors were locked and secure.

1000 block of West First, female party called to report she had a bat in her residence. Officers responded and assisted in removing the bat.

200 block of Mica, request for a civil standby. An officer responded and civil standby was completed.

100 block of Church, an officer was out with two parties. Everything was OK; party was talking with his grandmother.
