State Police: Katonah Man, 22, Forged $800 Worth of Checks

He is alleged to have forged checks from a Somers woman.

Katonah resident Colin J. Tullgren, 22, was arrested by state police Tuesday on a felony charge of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree in connection with an investigation into forged checks.

Last September, state police were contacted by a Somers resident who reported “that she discovered several checks had been cashed against her bank account without her authorization.”

Following an investigation, state police determined that Tullgren “had forged and cashed several checks totally $790 from the victim’s account.” The investigation remains open, according to state police, and Tullgren may face additional charges.
