Lensbaby Announces Availability of New Sweet Spot Lens for Mobile and Sweet 50 Optic for DLSR, Mirrorless and Motion Picture Cameras

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lensbaby, one of the world’s leading makers of creative-effects camera lenses, today announced the availability of the LM-10 Sweet Spot lens for mobile devices. The LM-10, which allows users to create Lensbaby’s signature “sweet spot” depth-of-field look on an iOS or Android phone, was originally introduced in April via a highly successful Kickstarter campaign. The lens is now available for purchase online through Lensbaby.com and at authorized retail locations worldwide. Today the company also announced the Sweet 50, a 50mm selective-focus optic compatible with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System for DSLR, mirrorless and motion picture cameras.

Both the LM-10 and the Sweet 50 deliver images with a sweet spot of sharp focus surrounded by increasing blur. With the LM-10, the sweet spot is determined through the use of an accompanying app. For the Sweet 50 it is determined by tilting the lens mount.

“Our goal has always been to ignite creativity by allowing photographers to see things in a new way and have fun with their craft, which is something that has resonated with professionals and enthusiasts alike from Day One,” said Lensbaby co-founder and chief creative officer Craig Strong. “The LM-10 brings this same experience to the masses who now carry what have become very capable cameras with them 24/7. We can’t wait to see the great images and video this magical pairing will soon produce.”
