You may have heard me mention a few times this season already that I am loving wide leg trousers. They’re extremely comfortable to wear, flattering on just about every figure, plus they’re a welcome change from the super skinny, straight leg styles that we’ve all been wearing for so long. I picked up this printed pair in Penneys recently (I’m pretty sure they’re still available now if anyone is tempted) and I decided to style them up onto a more sophisticated, dressy look. When styling wide leg printed pants into a casual look, are always in danger of verging into hippy-at-festival territory, so heels and chic accessories are a must! You can see another look I styled with a white pair of wide legged trousers here.

The handy thing about printed, colourful pieces like this is that you can pick up some of the smaller colours in the print to use in your accessories. Just be careful not to go too matchy-matchy with your colours, simple is always better. This caped blazer was another steal from Sheinside, and I loved it so much I ordered the black colour, too! Caped blazers are popping up all over the highstreet and online this season, I love this sleek version by BCBG MAXAZRIA which is perfect for someone who wants to invest that bit more. I’ve also linked some lovely styles in the widget above for those looking for a good value alternatives.

I hope everyone is having a great start to the week! Im easing myself back into the swing of things after a crazy weekend celebrating my good friend Elaine’s 30th birthday. It was the most fun I’ve had in a long time, (and I definitely suffered for it yesterday) but now its back to work! I have lots of blogging to catch up on, some prep for a few different projects I’m working on, plus a meeting  today about an event I’m hosting for the SweaterShop in a few weeks time. Exciting stuff!

Happy Shopping,

Ciara x
