STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Stamford police say a man was shot early Saturday morning in an incident stemming from a fight at a party.

According to police, a fight broke out at a hotel party, and the victim and his friends left, going to a home on Fairfield Avenue. The 24-year-old victim and his friends were hanging out on the front porch when the suspect shot seven rounds at the house, two of which hit the victim in the legs, police say. That man has been released from the hospital.

The victim and his friends have not cooperated in the investigation, according to police. Officers are interviewing witnesses and obtaining surveillance video from nearby businesses. Anyone with information about Saturday’s shooting is asked to call Stamford police at (203) 977-4417.

Police say the Fairfield Avenue home is notorious for police involvement. They say officers investigated a home invasion there in November 2014. During that home invasion, two shots were fired, according to police.
