Seahawks' Bobby Wagner out at least one more game

RENTON, Wash. -- Middle linebacker Bobby Wagner is officially out for Sunday’s game at Kansas City, the fifth consecutive game the Seattle Seahawks middle linebacker will miss with a turf toe injury. Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Wagner began running this week and he’s hopeful Wagner can return to practice next week.

The Seahawks are thin at middle linebacker. Backup Brock Coyle did not practice Wednesday because of what was listed as a glute injury. It’s why Seattle added middle linebacker Allen Bradford to the 53-man roster Wednesday.

The Seahawks probably will move K.J. Wright inside to start at middle linebacker this weekend and start either rookie Kevin Pierre-Louis in Wright’s outside linebacker spot or possibly Malcolm Smith. He returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday after missing the past two games with a groin injury.

Strong safety Kam Chancellor was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice after also missing the past two games with a groin injury.

Others not practicing Wednesday were tight end Luke Willson (ankle), left guard James Carpenter (ankle) defensive back Marcus Burley (hamstring) running back Marshawn Lynch (calf) and defensive end Michael Bennett (not injury related). Lynch always takes Wednesday off, so there are no concerns about him.

Also practicing on a limited basis were nickelback Jeremy Lane (groin) and tight end Cooper Helfet, who has a bruised knee.
