Far Cry 4 review - MMGN

MMGN writes: There are certain moments that stand out from a narrative point of view, although I’m unsure where Far Cry 4’s plot stands among the open-world greats. There’s a different feeling here, though: Ajay is a likeable character because the game does a superb job of modelling the world around his history, and the game’s primary antagonist lights up the world whenever he’s on screen. Pagan Min is a charismatic and terrifying despot, and he may just be the offspring of Darth Vadar and the Joker. There’s an intimidating sense of anarchy that balances out the regime’s structure, making for a genuinely chilling landscape of conflict. Kyrat is a fascinating place to explore, but you wouldn’t dare ride around unarmed.

Far Cry delivers once again! Good to know theres at least one franchise Ubisoft wont royally screw up.

Some of you are such drama queens.

Ubisoft has had many successful games...
Rayman Origins
Splinter Cell Blacklist
Child of Light
South Park The Stick of Truth
Far Cry 3
AC4 Black Flag
Rayman Legends
Far Cry 4

And these are just some of the recent ones. Now, just because Watch Dogs and AC Unity had some issues and controversy surrounding them we're supposed to believe the sky is falling and Ubisoft can't make a good game and blah blah blah.

Never mind the fact that Watch Dogs and AC Unity are still good games that have pretty good metacritic scores and are enjoyed by many people. Oh, and not to mention that Far Cry 4 is about to come out and is getting amazing review scores and being called one of the best games of the year by quite a few outlets.

Come on, people, let's keep a little perspective here.

Damn !!!! Put the whole entire story in the heading why don't ya hahahaha:)

But seriously yes, Far Cry 4 looks tone amazing. I can only what a current gen only version would of played like:)

Not a problem FC4 will rock I'm sure.

At least you did one game right Ubisoft.
Child of Light too.

Looking like this will be the first really good game from Ubisoft since AC IV. Can't wait to buy this pre-owned.

4 wasn’t so bad

Pagan Min was pretty entertaining

Yeah, 4 was good, was hard choosing which Golden Dawn member to side with, when they were both pieces of sh!t.
I've beaten all the main entries except 2 and 6, ended up uninstalling 6 to download something else instead.

I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel

Demetrius46d ago

Still one of my most favorite franchises along with assassins creed

Same here, I don't know why these games get so much hate. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, with only a couple of exceptions. I wish they'd hurry up and announce Far Cry 7. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rumoured time limit.

I would put 5 above 6 but agree with the other ratings. Though 6 has more refined gameplay compared to 5 it's lack of a compelling story really does hurt it imo but if you are a gameplay fiend and don't really care about story it makes sense.
