Dozens of businesses are offering free services and reduced prices to veteranson Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, and, in some cases, beyond. Some require a military ID.
The list is not comprehensive, and some businesses may not be in your area:
Great Clips: Veterans who visit the shops get a free haircut, or a redemption card for a free cut to be used by Dec. 31.
Applebee’s: The restaurant chain offers a special free menu for vets and active military members.
Chili’s: The restaurant chain offers a special free menu for vets and active military members.
California Pizza Kitchen: The restaurant chain offers a special free menu for vets and active military members.
Hooters: With any drink purchase, vets can get a free meal worth $10.99 on Veterans Day.
Starbucks: Tall brewed coffees are free to veterans and active-duty service members and their spouses on Veterans Day.
IHOP: Red, White and Blue pancakes are free to vets and active military members from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Bob Evans: The restaurant chain offers all-you-can-eat hotcakes for veterans and active military on Veterans Day.
Golden Corral: The restaurant chain observes Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 17, with free dinner buffets from 5-9 p.m.
Bonanza Steakhouse: The steakhouse chain also moves its Veterans Day observance to Monday, Nov. 17, with free buffets for veterans and active military members.
24-Hour Fitness: Veterans and active military can use the health club through Nov. 11.
Red Lobster: The appetizers are free to veterans and active-duty military members Monday, Nov. 10, through Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Craftworks Restaurants & Breweries: Gordon Biersch Brewery, Rock Bottom, Old Chicago Pizza and ChopHouse & Brewery offer a free craft beer to active and retired military members on Tuesday.
Krispy Kreme: Those who are able to identify themselves as veterans or active duty military get a free doughnut and small coffee on Veterans Day.

Chuck E. Cheese: U.S. military vets and active-duty military get 20 free tokens through Saturday, Nov. 15.
JDog Junk Removal & Hauling: Disabled vets who book on Veterans Day get free junk removal.
Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage to all active and retired military personnel on Veterans Day.
Baskin Robbins: First Class Camouflage Ice Cream – a concoction of chocolate, salty caramel and cake-flavored ice creams – is the flavor of the month in honor of Veterans Day. In addition, the chain will donate 10 cents from ice cream scoops sold at all U.S. locations on Veterans Day to the United Service Organizations (USO).
Friendly’s: Free breakfast, lunch or dinner to veterans and active military on Veterans Day.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store: On Tuesday, veterans get a free Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert. The restaurant will offer 10 percent of proceeds on the sales of the dessert to non-veterans.
Denny’s: Active, inactive and retired military personnel can build their own free Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. until noon Tuesday at participating restaurants.
Baker’s Square: Veterans and active duty get a complimentary breakfast – choose between buttermilk pancakes, three slices of French toast or a Belgian waffle – on Veterans Day.
Bar Louie: From open to close on Monday, Nov. 10, and Tuesday, Nov. 11, every Bar Louie location across the country will offer veterans and military personnel a free meal up to a $12 value when they show valid military I.D. or other proof of service.
BLT Steak, Prime, Burger & More: All veterans and active-duty military members receive 50 percent off two or 25 percent off for parties of three or more.
Carrabba’s: All active and retired veterans receive a free appetizer at participating locations now through Nov. 11.
Centaarchy Restaurants: Veterans and active military service members receive a free entrée and 25 percent off to their accompanied family and friends. Special menu items apply.
Champps: Veterans and active-duty receive a free handcrafted cheeseburger on Veterans Day.
Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse: Veterans and active-duty military eat free (up to $20) on Veterans Day.
Cheeseburger in Paradise: Complimentary All-American Burger and fries to veterans, active and retired military personnel on Tuesday. The deal applies to dine-in guests only and requires a beverage purchase.
City Barbeque: One free half-pound sandwich platter will be given to each veteran for either dine-in or carryout orders on Veterans Day.
Coffee Beanery: Fee tall cup of coffee all day on Veterans Day. Call ahead to make sure that your local Coffee Beanery is participating.
Cotton Patch Cafe: Free Chicken Fried Steak or Chicken for all active duty and veterans on Nov. 11.
Country Cookin: Active, reserve, and retired military personnel receive a free meal on Veterans Day.
Famous Dave’s: On Nov. 11, former and active military are invited to come in and receive a free “One Meat Salute” from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Figaro’s: Veterans and active service members get a free medium one topping pizza on Nov. 11.
Food City: Veterans and active military receive a free hot bar meal on Nov. 11.
Glory Days Grill: All veterans receive a free appetizer or wings with proper ID on Veterans Day.
Green Mill Restaurant and Bar: Veterans and active-duty military eat free on Veterans Day.
Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream and Yogurt: Participating restaurants across the country are giving away free single-scoop ice cream cones to all veterans and military personnel with a valid military ID.
Hoss’s Family Steak & Sea House: On Tuesday, Hoss’s is serving up free “Hossome American Value” meals to veterans/
Hurricane Grill & Wings: Veterans and active duty military personnel receive a complimentary meal and non-alcoholic beverage from a select menu on Veterans Day. Hy-Vee: Hy-Vee is providing free breakfast for veterans during regular breakfast hours on Veterans Day.
Ikea: Many Ikea locations are offering a free meal to veterans Nov. 9 – 11, 2014. Search for your local Ikea store, go to the store home page and select the “special offers” tab for details.
Kangaroo Express: Any service member with a military I.D. that visits one of Kangaroo Express’ nearly 1,200 grill-ready stores between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, is invited to purchase a grill item for just 25-cents (one per guest, while supplies last).
Krystal: Active and retired armed forces members get a sausage biscuit to any active or retired service member with military ID on Tuesday.
Lamar’s Donuts: Free doughnut and a 12-ounce coffee for all veterans and active military on Veterans Day.
Lone Star Steakhouse: A free entrée on Veterans Day to active duty and reserves.
Longhorn Steakhouse: Service members receive a complimentary Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcohol beverage on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Includes veterans and current service members.
Menchie’s: On Veterans Day, all vets and military personnel with a military ID or dressed in uniform will receive a free six ounce frozen yogurt any time of day.
Mission BBQ: Veterans get a sandwich and cake while supplies last on Veterans Day.
Mod Pizza: Veterans and active duty military are invited in for a free individual pizza or had-tossed salad on Veterans Day.
O’Charley’s: All veterans and all active-duty military personnel will have their choice of one of nine meals on the O’Charley’s “$9.99er” menu.
Olive Garden: All veterans and military active duty will receive a free meal from a special menu on Veterans Day.
On The Border: All veterans and active duty military get a free meal from the chain’s “Create Your Own Combo menu,” on Tuesday.
Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt: All veterans, retired and active-duty military personnel receive a free cup of froyo, up to 11 ounces, on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11.
PDQ: Free tenders or sandwich for all veterans or active duty military with identifiction or in uniform.
Petro Stopping Centers: All military and vets may enjoy a free meal on Petro at participating full-service restaurants on Nov. 11, 2014.
Pinnacle Entertainment: Free buffet on Veterans Day at Pinnacle’s properties including Ameristar, Belterra, Boomtown, L’Auberge, Retama and River City properties.
Pie Five Pizza: On Veterans Day active duty, reserve and retired military receive a free individualized pizza.
Pizza Factory: Free lunch special or a lunch buffet for veterans on Nov. 11.
