Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, where two health workers were infected with Ebola, disputed allegations made by a nurses’ union that infection controls were inadequate.

At no time did specimens from an Ebola patient leak or spill into a pneumatic tube system, the Dallas hospital said today in a statement. Nurses who worked with the patient wore protective equipment consistent with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines, and face shields were required, the hospital said. When the CDC updated guidelines, the hospital followed the new recommendations, it said.
