DJ chatter is often the stuff of low-stakes enjoyment, and Zane Lowe's toasting over this radio rip of Dillon Francis and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs' new single, "Without You", is certainly both specific and all-encompassing: "It's great to hear music." It is great to hear music, especially something as relatively left-field as what's coming from Francis here, whose approach is usually, how do we say, "less subtle". Indeed, the sad-eyed contemplation of "Without You" sounds like it could have come from TEED's underrated debut LP Trouble, as Orlando Higginbottom's thoughtful vocals coast and glide above the song's warm, tart bleeps and bloops.

As Francis mentions on his Soundcloud, the song comes from quite a sensitive place for a guy who might just be one of Vine's best users: "This song is very meaningful to me because as TEED and i were working on the song i was having relationship problems of my own. He ended up writing the song about the whole situation i was going through.." The single's out today via Mad Decent.
