Got Plans for New Year's? Better Bundle Up, Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow

Expect a drop in temperatures throughout the Hudson Valley... Here's your hour-by-hour New Year's Eve, New Year's Day weather forecast.

Everyone always asks what will the weather be like on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and we at Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow Patch want to provide you with an hourly forecast according to the latest National Weather Service and Weather.com forecast.

Beginning at noon on New Year’s Eve temperatures will be between 29-31 degrees and the skies will be sunny. Temperatures hold steady from noon until 4 p.m. between 28-30 degrees with clear and sunny skies.

After 5 p.m. temperatures begin to dip slightly down to the mid-20s. From 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. temperatures hold steady with clear skies.

From 9 p.m. until midnight, which is when the ball drops, temperatures will dip into the teens with beautiful clear skies.

Early New Year’s Day, temperatures will reach the 20s through 5 a.m. and then it starts to warm up a few degrees around noon with sunny skies. Expect some increasing winds.

By 3 p.m. on New Year’s Day temperatures will reach the 30s, once again with sunny skies.

Thursday night temperatures will range between about 22 and 28 degrees, and winds will continue in the range of 10-15 miles per hour.

And it looks like there is a good chance of snow and rain beginning late Saturday afternoon and continuing into late Saturday. Temperatures on Saturday night will hover around freezing. No snowfall predictions have been made yet.

Next week, just in time for the return to work for many and school for students, temperatures will struggle to reach the freezing mark on Monday and Tuesday. But at least it will be dry and there will be plenty of sun.
