Yesterday, you met the Potters. Today, say hello to the Granger-Weasleys.

Ron, Hermione, and their daughter, Rose, are the stars of a brand new first look from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the upcoming stage play and eighth Harry Potter story, which picks up right after the epilogue of Deathly Hallows. A first look at Harry, Ginny, and their son Albus was revealed on Pottermore on Tuesday.

Paul Thornley and Noma Dumezweni beam proudly in the family portrait as Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger — who, as may come as news to fans, has kept her last name — alongside their daughter, Rose Granger-Weasley, played by young Cherrelle Skeete. (Not pictured: The Granger-Weasley’s other son, Hugo, who isn’t yet of Hogwarts age when the play’s first act takes place.)

As with the Potter family first look, the Pottermore reveal of the Granger-Weasley clan comes with its share of juicy quotes from the actors and J.K. Rowling about the characters.

Skeete unveiled a few key points about Rose: “Rose is ambitious, obviously her mum is Hermione so she’s got a lot to live up to. I think they’re quite similar in the fact they put a lot of pressure on themselves. And she just wants to do the right thing.”

To the 11-year-old child of two of Hogwarts’ finest, Rowling said: “Rose is like her mother, but more secure, more grounded. She was born to wizards and knows her place in the world. Cherrelle plays her perfectly: bossy but deeply lovable.”

Rowling has made her joyous feelings on Thornley and Dumezweni known since their casting. Regarding Dumezweni’s reveal as Hermione, Rowling commented, “I saw Noma workshop the part and when John Tiffany told me he’d cast her, I was overjoyed. She gets Hermione inside out.”

Speaking of Ron, Rowling noted, “Ron in his forties isn’t very different from Ron in his teens, except that his feet hurt a bit more. Paul’s so funny and brilliant in the role.” (Thornley notes that the wardrobe department made a concerted effort to make Ron look “as though he doesn’t really care what he wears in the morning.”)

Pottermore notes one final reveal of two more wizarding characters is scheduled for Wednesday. Could it be a Malfoy-Scorpius double whammy, or will Neville and Luna round out the heroic, now-grown fivesome?

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child begins preview performances on June 7 at London’s Palace Theatre. Scholastic will release the script book of Cursed Child on July 31.
