Default How do I wire 2 bec's

I need to run two voltages, 6 volt for my winch & 7 volt for my receiver & steering servo. I'm thinking I could use 2 bec's. Could someone help me with a diagram?

Can't you just wire the two bec's together? That's what I plan on doing with the same idea...one for the winch, one for the servo.

You can just hook them up as per normal. I've got 4 installed in my super.

All come from the same connection on the battery plug. All power a 7980servo each.

that's gotta be one slow butt winch running on 6v !?

I run mine powered directly off my 3s LiPo (12.60v - 11.1v)
but thru a wireless controller.
So far the controller has held up.

I wouldn't run my winch off the voltage supplied to the RX
as I'd be worried that the RX couldn't handle the amp draw (load)

only one bec can supply power to the RX
assuming the ESC's internal bec is not used.

But you can run as many bec's as ya wish...
as long as the output power leads directly to it's demand source.

My bec sends power to the RX and servo @ 7.4v
The servo could be wired/powered independent of the RX
But so far... my method has held up to the power demand's of my D772

I am very curious about how long has you been running the D772 and at what voltage?

I am using a KMS winch with a Heyok controller & it works awesome. The speed is very fast. The max voltage for the winch is 6 volts & its more than enough & the strength is incredible, it will pick up my heavy rig with no problem.

Looks like he's running it at 7.4v. What's funny to me, is that he's talking shit to mudbeast2 about having a "slow butt" winch at 6v, and that he runs his directly off a 3s lipo. Just a couple of weeks ago, he was scared shitless of running his winch on 3s when the manufacturer clearly states that it can. Anyway, I had two D772's in a wraith running at 7.4v for a few months, then sold it. It's now on owner number three and those servos are still doing fine.

Thanks for the response. The Solars are loud and gritty but they've been holding up well under the abuse I've been throwing at them. I've only been throwing the abuse at them for a few months now but they respond as if they were new. If they hold up they are a steal for $20 - $30 per.

my D772 has about 8 month's use...
I run 7.4v thru my RX which powers the servo.
Hasn't failed yet...
and I'm even utilizing the factory RTR AR-3 RX

I upgraded my TX to a GT3-C
but the RX that came with it did not hold up to even the 6v
I was running at the time.

So I put the AR-3 RX back in...
bumped the BEC up to 7.4v and it is still working fine.

I did purchase FlySky's newer 3 channel RX
and it is supposed to handle 8v run thru it.
But since the AR-3 RX hasn't died...
I'll wait until it does before installing it's replacement.

I was not scared shitless
nor am I talking shit to anyone.
I've run my winch on 6v and now directly off the voltage of a 3S.
So I think I know what that difference is.

You should live in Ferguson...
so you can further insight those people as well

I just wanted clarification.
for the interest of protecting my investment costs

The mfg'r website does not verify that 3s use is acceptable
when using their wireless controller.

read it for yourself

RC4WD's description states operating voltage is between 6v - 11.1v
a 3s LiPo exceeds 11.1v (12.60v)
Other sites selling the RC4WD wireless controller state that 3s is compatible...
But RC4WD seemingly omits that in there description.

so... since no one was considerate enough to say
they had done so without issue.
I called the mfg'r for my own verification.

thanks for your help and response to my inquiry

Half the fun of these things is pushing the limits. I wouldn't worry about losing an inexpensive winch or controller. Hell, I just burned my winch controller which also took out the cc bec...new ones ordered, no biggie. It's like sportfishing, sometimes you lose an expensive rig...it happens. Can't worry about it, otherwise you won't have any fun.

^ fm this thread

sorry but you're an asshat if you think I was giving anyone shit
regarding my comment/inquiry.
If you'll take notice... there was a ? at the end of my sentence.
And it was not directed to you.

mudbeast2's response was more respectful and without personal attack...
And quite frankly offers a more detailed explanation regarding voltage limitations of his KMS servo type winch.
I'll assume gear reduction has something to do with it's efficiency/performance.

still I can't believe that a winch running on 6v
will spool faster then one that runs on 12v
But I'll rescind if there is a video proving otherwise ?
