There have been games like Ziggurat before. You could call it a first-person Binding of Isaac. You could call it a fantasy Heavy Bullets (which I reviewed just weeks ago). It would be easy to write it off as an unnecessary rehash, or another entry in the bloated Rogue-like genre. But Ziggurat has a few key things working for it.
