Analogue Nt aluminum NES pre-orders open, shipping this summer

The Analogue Nt, Analogue Interactive's aircraft-grade aluminum NES, is now available for pre-order starting at $499.

The system is expected to ship this summer and comes in five different colors. The "classic" silver finish is available at no extra cost, while black, pink, blue and red are available for an extra $49.99. Those who pre-order the system can also pick up an HDMI adapter at a lower price of $49.99; the adapter is intended for exclusive use with the console. Controllers are also available on the site, as well as additional cables.

Known for its revamped gaming hardware, such as the Walnut Analogue Arcade Stick, Analogue Interactive announced the console in March. The system does not use emulation to run NES and Famicom games, but relies on Nintendo's original CPU and PPU. The Nt is compatible with RGB or HDMI, and, according to Analogue Interactive, natively outputs the highest quality analogue signals available.

The Nt weighs about three pounds and is constructed from 6061 aluminum, the material used for Apple's iMacs and laptops. Speaking to Polygon previously, Analogue owner Chris Taber called the NES "the most iconic video game system of all time," adding that it had a rich history to explore.
