Stephen King just wrote five books this morning. Four of them will be movies next year.

I do hope this has a good story. We haven't seen a good story in COD since Modern Warfare 2.

2.5 years is kinda bad when you're talking about writing especially a linear narrative... It shouldn't take you very long to write a story, most of the time is spent editing. Not really a good sign Activision.

If you can complete single player in six hours again that's a serious waste off 2 & 1/2 years.

Time does not matter. Good stories are written in months or ten years. Who cares. Just put out a good product.

I hope so because none of them have been memorable.

i really hope so, i really enjoy single player campaign in call of duty. it maybe be hollywood sometimes but its still awesome to play.

CoD ghost was claimed to be in development for 3 years, remember that article last year? Remember the comments? "Oh this will be dat best CoD yet"...lol... look how that turned out.

You guys are falling for the same old hype media game from last year. I don't know if you guys have bad memory problems, or you just love the same old repetitive hype announcements aka recycled marketing techniques - just like their games.

only time will tell. honestly speaking i am yet to be amazed by a cod storyline.

and that story will probably be over in 4hrs or so, or will never be played

I've always enjoyed the campaigns in cod. I think the Hollywood style over-the-top campaigns are fun to play through once.

I couldn't tell you a single thing about the narratives in past games, but I know I had fun with them at the time. That being said, I've never payed full price for a cod since cod2 either.

If you want a real good fps narrative, though, Spec Ops: The Line is where it's at.

I thought it was a good game but the WW2 burnout pushed me away

This is one of the few I never got to play the SP on. Redbox’d ut. Multiplayer was done if the worse I’ve ever played. Maps were bad. I’ll have to go back and at least give the story a go

It's too bad the game is impossible to find games on with Xbox One and PC. It is my favorite one this generation. I love it so much! But... no one plays it. So it makes it difficult to continue enjoying it :(

I loved the Advanced Warfare campaign, thought it was great.

Great campaign, great zombie mode, and an okay multiplayer mode. Most of the multiplayer maps looked great, but I only liked 50% of them, due to the way they tried to force verticality into the gameplay. The limited edition Advanced Warfare Xbox One was a pretty slick looking console too.

I thought the campaign was a great comeback after ghosts but the mp bored me to tears.

It was also the beginning of the end for future warfare cod games at this point I didn't want blops3 because I just spent a year running around with the exosuit I wanted something new but it began a trend aw, blops3, iw before we finally got WW2 which was actually my highlight this gen as far as cod goes.

To top it off aw locked it's zombies mode behind a paywall which I found disgusting

Negative. Advanced Warfare sucked. And what do you mean "Ghosts didn't do anything new with mp"? It did a plenty new. It introduced “special orders” and completing them during a match would sometimes completely change the terrain of the battlefield.

Really? I haven’t enjoyed a COD in a minute. Is MW good? None of my mates play it anymore

I think on an overall level sure.

Blops 3 had better MP but the campaign was messy
Modern Warfare's MP has issues as i understand it but the campaign was spectacular
IW MP was crud but i highly enjoyed the campaign
Blops 4 had great MP but no campaign
Ghosts was average in both

I think AW at the very least has a solid campaign and solid MP but it's not the best in those individual areas.

I liked Infinite Warfare much better and honestly its weird for to back to this game, I enjoyed it quite a bit back when it released but considering what we now know about Kevin Spacey (an actor who I admired greatly) I don't think I can ever play it again.

Game was terrible

Modern Warfare is the best, followed by Black Ops III. Both pale in comparison to the best of the PS3/360 era.

Game is underrated. The campaign had a lot of clever, detailed map design to flow with the abilities of the various exo suits. The characters and story were pretty good too, and I was sad the game ended so soon right when things got crazy as hell at the climax. I think a sequel would've been made if so many people didn't complain about the advanced movement that they couldn't/wouldn't adapt to.

There was nothing wrong with the campaign, it was thoroughly enjoyable. But the online is a different mess.
