SC wants see-through bags for Bar examinees

The Supreme Court has just taken the concept of “transparency” to the next level... and literally at that.

The Supreme Court has required all 6,344 law graduates who will take the Bar examinations starting Sunday to use only transparent or see-through bags and containers during the test.

In a Bar Bulletin, the SC said the policy will be observed to speed-up the inspection of bags and personal belongings of the examinees before entering their respective room assignments at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

The new measure was also put in place to further ensure the safety and security of the examinees and Bar personnel, the court added.

"All the examinees should place their books, bar material, pens, foods, water, and other personal items inside transparent or see-through bags, clear zip-lock bags, pouches, lunch boxes, clear water containers, and other similar comtainers," read the bulletin signed by Bar chair and SC Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta.

The high court over the weekend issued Bar Bulletin No. 20 where it listed this year's 6,344 examinees.

The list can be accessed from the Bar microsite of the SC's website.

The high court said updates and reminders are accessible on the microsite at http://sc.judiciary.gov.ph/baradmission/2014/.

Earlier, it issued bulletins advising the public on traffic arrangements around UST during the Sundays of October when the exams will be held. — Mark Merueñas/KBK, GMA News
