Sideshow's New C-3PO Figure Will Make You Lust For a Protocol Droid

It can't be easy being the lesser partner in the most famous robot duo in movie history, so kudos to Sideshow Collectibles for giving its new sixth-scale C-3PO figure as much TLC as it did for its recent R2-D2. Because a droid that specializes in protocol and languages sounds like it would make for a pretty boring action figure, but this is 12-inches of collectible art as far as any Star Wars collector is concerned.

Completely posable fingers means this figure has over 40 points of articulation which is straight-up mind blowing, as well as light-up eyes which bring the figure to life when switched on. The shimmering gold paint job makes this C-3PO hard to distinguish from the screen-used costume because Sideshow has ensured it's still dented, weathered, and showing all the wear and tear of the character's travels around the galaxy.

When available in November of next year C-3PO will set collectors and Star Wars fans back $230, and it's of course available for pre-order right now if you want to get your agonizing wait under way. [Sideshow Collectibles via Plastic and Plush]
