          Antrel Rolle: 'Worse than embarrassing'

          SEATTLE -- Seen and heard in the New York Giants' locker room following Sunday's 38-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks:

          • The Seahawks ran for 350 yards on 45 carries and Giants safety Antrel Rolle was asked if that was embarrassing. "I think it's a little bit worse than embarrassing," he said. "I've been playing this game 10 years and I never had a team run for 350 yards, no matter how good or bad a team we've had."

          • Rolle, coach Tom Coughlin and almost everyone said the issue was a consistent inability to handle the Seahawks' read-option offense in the second half. Coughlin said mistakes were made both ways and the Seahawks took full advantage as running back Marshawn Lynch rushed for 140 yards and quarterback Russell Wilson 107. "If you have the dive, take the dive," Rolle said. "If you have the quarterback, take the quarterback."

          • Coughlin said the decision by Eli Manning to throw into double coverage at the end of the third quarter was "ill-advised," that the timing of the play had been disrupted and Manning should have made a different decision. Manning said he agreed. Coughlin also admitted that he "gave the one touchdown" when he decided to go for it on fourth-and-10 in the fourth quarter with the Giants still within 14 points.

          • Running back Michael Cox left the stadium in a wheelchair with his left leg elevated and supported, having apparently suffered a serious lower left leg injury. Have to think the Giants add a running back this week, even if starter Rashad Jennings is able to return from his knee sprain. Peyton Hillis also left Sunday's game with a concussion.
