Wireless exchange protocols—Wi-Fi networks, mobile, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, infrared signals to name but a few— are beguilingly fascinating. They constitute an impossibly fragile and volatile infrastructure that holds our digital technologies together, and in consequence shape the way in which we interact and tune into reality.
The digital ethereal is a creative practice research project which sets out to explore the materiality of wireless protocols. This video documents the exhibition The secret body of Wireless, which aimed to portrait Wireless protocols as ghost in different media, including photography, installation and a google-glass prototype.
