We wrote about Time Rifters back in June when the game was still in development. Now, the kind folk at Proton Studio have sent us a sneak peak at the full game which they have also announced will be released on 21st October 2014 for both Windows and OS X. Priced at $9.99 (about £6.20 at the time of writing) it's available from the Steam Store Page.
VRFocus- Indie developer Proton Studios was one of the few developers that released a full virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame in 2014. The studio launched the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) supported Time Rifters onto PC last October. The title even went on to win 'Best Game' at the inaugural Virtual Reality Awards a few months later. For those that still haven't decided on if they should pick the title up Proton Studios has this week launched a brand new demo for Time Rifters along with a temporary sale.
VRFocus - Last week saw the first ever Virtual Reality Awards (VRAs) take place within social virtual reality (VR) platform Riftmax Theater. The ceremony was created to celebrate the past year in VR experiences, videogames or otherwise. It proved that, even without the consumer version of the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) released, it's been an eventful year for the industry. Developers competed across six separate categories, with Proton Studio's Oculus Rift compatible Time Rifters taking the Best Game award.
