X Factor: Cheryl has last-minute change of heart and brings back Chloe Jasmine

X FACTOR judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has given popular wannabe singer Chloe Jasmine a second chance, after admitting she made a "big mistake" by initially dropping her from the show.

Cheryl deliberates on who to put through at Bootcamp.

The singer, who made her return to the X Factor judging panel this year after a four-year hiatus, dropped the blonde-haired model from her group during the six-chair challenge but ended up changing her mind, calling her back on stage at Wembley Arena.

Turning to the audience, Cheryl said: "I've made a mistake. I've made such a big mistake. I want to bring Chloe back."

She then apologised to Chloe, saying: "I want versatility in my group going forward. If I had six girls who all represented the same thing, it would be boring.

"I want somebody that can do something different each week, you have that for me, and I'm missing that when I look up there."

She added: "I want to put you in my top six. Unfortunately, I don't want to lose anybody but I do want to switch you out."

The 23-year-old was given the place of Irish singer Orla Keogh and joined Lola Saunders, Lauren Platt, Kerrianne Covell, Stephanie Nala and Emily Middlemas in the next stage.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that there will be a wildcard twist introduced.

According to The Sun, the four judges will be able to bring back an axed singer from the judges' houses to the live shows.

But instead of being able to chose their own former favourite, the judges will not be picking from their own category.

It has been revealed that Simon Cowell, Cheryl Versini-Fernandez, Mel B and Louis Walsh will be picking each other's wild cards, meaning they could be forced to work with someone they don't want to.

It is believed that Mel will take on the task of bringing back one of Louis's groups, Cheryl will choose one of Mel's boys, Louis will choose one of Simon's over 25's and Simon will pick for Cheryl.

The twist means there will be 16 finalists on the live shows this year, instead of the usual 12.
