funny article - I got a lot of laughs out of it.

SamPao3525d ago (Edited 3525d ago )

Yeah it was pretty funny.

I've been a pc gamer for a long time and I enjoyed it. I aldo played on my ps1 and ps2.

However

As of today I only play on consoles.
I wont bother upgrading my pc or buy a laptop for the purpose of gaming. I get great quality from my console and I dont have to bother with anything else.

I still use my pc/laptop for working purposes but haven't touched a game in like 6years.

mikeslemonade3525d ago

Life is being streamlined, so if you expect the average person to setup a PC you're nuts. The average everyday person doesn't know what a gigabyte is on their smartphone.

Perjoss3525d ago

The words gaming and laptop should not really be used in the same sentence.

GundalfDeGrej3525d ago

@mikeslemonade

Lets hope the Steambox will fix that problem! As a matter of fact it should almost be considered another reason on this list.

nucky643525d ago

well, I'm getting the ethan carter game on pc this month but I do almost all of my gameing on my console....the reason is I like the exclusive games. unless Microsoft, Nintendo, and sony decide to make all of their exclusives available for pc - pc will NEVER become the only choice for gaming.....it's really a ridiculous notion. heck, pc never even got "red dead redemption" - a terrific (non-exclusive)game that I spent a lot of time having fun with. AND, pc is STILL waiting for gtaV! I'm not knocking the pc gaming format - it's just not realistic to say what this article suggests.

I think we should do 7 reasons why the website is a joke

MuhammadJA3525d ago

PC gaming is for the dedicated gamer.

_LarZen_3525d ago

There are dedicated gamers on all platforms. A better phrasing would be. PC gaming is for enthusiasts.

bumnut3525d ago

Not really because lots of PC gamers have average setups, hardly enthusiasts imo.

DevilOgreFish3525d ago

"There are dedicated gamers on all platforms. A better phrasing would be. PC gaming is for enthusiasts."

PC gamers are based on the similar principles of consoles gamers, console gamers need to buy new hardware to see an improvement as well. what separates PCs from Consoles is freedom.

PC gamers can not only go forward with their upgrades, but also play on 3 different types of PC based platforms without having to repurchase a game.

PCs do have exclusives, and they can also play both unofficial and published content.

Elda3525d ago

If that happens,I'll be done with gaming.

Elda3525d ago (Edited 3525d ago )

My pc is used for browsing the web,not playing AAA games, there's nothing like sitting back on your couch or bed looking at your big screen hd tv holding your videogame controller & playing your fav videogame.

DevilOgreFish3525d ago (Edited 3525d ago )

elda - "there's nothing like sitting back on your couch or bed looking at your big screen hd tv holding your videogame controller & playing your fav videogame."

you can do that on PC too. Steam has a console mode, for which you can boot into at the push of your power button.

Unlike consoles, PCs can be customized.

KYPRIME3525d ago

funny, i laughed at every one of those 7 reasons

SpadeX3525d ago

1. I don't care.
2. I don't care.
3. I don't care.
4. I don't care.
5. I don't care.
6. I don't care.
7. I don't care.
I'm staying with consoles, you can't change that.

Helldivers 2 players clearly don’t care about saving Choohe

Helldivers 2's new Major Order will let PS5 players unlock one of two new Stratagems, and there's already a clear winner rising up.

Choohe is locked behind another planet forcing players to liberate 2 planets and the reward for Penta is a weapon, not another stratagem so it makes sense.

If the weapon were on Choohe, that would be liberated.

I see this as a way to encourage the community to utilize platforms like Reddit to organize as a community.

We decide which new thing we want, and coordinate accordingly.

Xbox Reportedly Working to Release Next Fallout Game "Sooner Rather Than Later"

According to a new report, Xbox knows the next Fallout game has to release sooner rather than later and is working on it. Following the release of Starfield, Bethesda Game Studios is now working on The Elder Scrolls 6. And this is what it's going to be doing for the next several years. This means the next Fallout game is probably not going to be out until the 2030s unless something changes. To this end, Xbox knows it has to change something and get something out sooner.

Just bring the quality and hopefully some gameplay refinements.

Like build a new engine if you make me have a 45 second load to enter a building and exit a building on 9th gen hardware to your game is just taking the piss it's absolutely down to the engine and not the hardware it should have been possible to eliminate this load on the PS4 Xbox one but they failed to while other games like witcher 3 and GTA v had no problems with this.

Like all Bethesda games they really need to also address the ultra stiff character animation the dialogue scenes are not great and even in starfield they were substandard compared to other games look at how character interactions are done elsewhere it's far more engaging when you are not standing still talking

Cacabunga53m ago

I don’t like the sound of «  Sooner than later » especially coming from Xbox

fr0sty21m ago

Most especially coming from Bethesda, a company known for releasing buggy games, while they are busy working on 2 other projects with MS breathing down their neck to rush this one out while the TV show hype is still hot.

Crows901h ago

This is a problem....let the games be. Maybe try to get something out by the time next season rolls around. You've got time. If the fallout show continues like this then it'll be fine to wait and invest in a good game.

-Foxtrot32m ago(Edited 27m ago)

I think people are missing the point of this

It’s not rushing a releases for next year it’s Microsoft knowing Bethesda won’t get round to Fallout 5 until 2031 at the earliest and want it to become a franchise that can come out within a typical 4-5 year development over every 15 or so years.

Bethesda took it upon themselves to do a new IP with Starfield which is fair enough, it's great to see studios wanting to do new IPs but in the process of doing that they've created a massive gap for sequels to their other games.

They just don't want to give their franchises away to another studio because I feel after New Vegas they are scared someone else will be able to create a better game to them. If Obsidian were giving a full lengthy development time and a bigger budget I think New Vegas could have been bigger and better than it was.

Psychonaut851h ago

Bro let one of the other studios under Bethesda do a spin off.

Shane Kim1h ago

Got to capitalize on the tv show.

Demetrius54m ago

I really do enjoy the fallout world, I always been into the series but couldn't get into new vegas cause the gameplay is a slog, the atmosphere was and still top notch tho, decide to finally play fallout 4 and it's been so mf fun it looks good in 60fps
