Judy, 55, has been watching the animated classic 101 Dalmatians featuring evil puppy snatcher Cruella De Vil.

And she has modelled herself on the Glenn Close character.

But as she gears up to perform an American Smooth with partner Anton Du Beke to music from the Disney film, the signs are not encouraging.

She said: “I’ve gone over my routine 101 times and it is more American rough than American Smooth.

“Anton said I need to get into character so I bought the film version and have been watching Glenn Close as Cruella.

"Tonight I want to be the Wicked Witch of Strictly.

“Last year I was in the audience for the Halloween special and this year I can’t quite believe I am going to be part of the show.

"I must be barking.”

Despite a series of forgettable dances, including last week’s Charleston, tennis coach Judy is emerging as a favourite with the public.

Coral spokesman Nicola McGeady said: “Many punters have backed her at 100-1 so it will be a nightmare result for us if she wins.”
