Stronghold: Crusader, created by FireFly studios, is a real-time strategy game released in 2002. Taking the original design of the first Stronghold, which came out in 2001, Stronghold: Crusader took the castle simulation game from Europe into the Crusades, being able to bring the holy war into the mix. The game was well received by critics and fans alike, and even got an updated rerelease in 2008. However, in 2012, FireFly announced that after ten years they would go on to make a sequel, and began creating Stronghold: Crusader II based on the Stronghold 3 engine.
GOG are today very thrilled to announce that they have just kicked-off their Valentine’s Day 2020 sale campaign, and that means that PC players can now get a lot of awesome PC games to a great price.

Today is a bitterweet day for caste sim fans, as Stronghold Crusader 2 gets its final update from Firefly.
Maybe not quite as good as the original but still a great game. I've only recently came across the series but I've ended up buying them all separately over the last month or 2. Original stronghold & Crusader being the best.
