D.C. man who ‘gave away’ weed for donations pleads guilty to distribution
WASHINGTON (Cannabist) — A Washington, D.C., man accused of selling marijuana to an undercover officer has pleaded guilty to marijuana distribution charges.
A judge sentenced 30-year-old Nicholas Cunningham to 180 days in jail Monday but suspended the jail sentence and placed him on two years’ probation.
Cunningham operated a fleet of vehicles that authorities say were used to sell marijuana in Washington. Cunningham argued that he gave away the drug in exchange for financial donations.
