While Barry is excited by his abilities, Gustin noted, “At the same time though, it’s in a reality-based world, so there is an aspect of him that’s a little worried about what’s happening to his body. But at the same time, once he starts to get a handle on it, it’s the coolest thing that’s happened to anybody, as far as Barry is concerned.”As for The Flash keeping a secret identity and whether Barry will need to make sure no one knows who he is, Gustin explained, “We’re not going to play the same game that they played on Arrow, where it was a secret. There will be some characters that Barry’s specifically trying to keep it from, but his circle – for the most part – is going to know that he’s The Flash.”
Lastly, I asked Gustin about the possibility for crossovers between Arrow and The Flash as both series progressed -- and if we might actually see the Arrow and the Flash fight alongside one another -- and he remarked, “I don’t know which characters, but there are going to be crossovers for sure between the two shows. I don’t know who it’s going to be, but yes, that’s gonna happen.”You can check out more of Gustin’s comments, including what he had to say about DC Comics Easter eggs in The Flash, in the full video interview at the top of the page.
