How Much Do You Pay for Rent?

Rent prices are all over the map (no pun intended). Some areas are more affordable than others, but in general, rent prices are rising across the country. How much do you pay in rent?

The map above from ForclosureDeals.com is based on 2011 median rental prices. It's a bit hard to make sense of, but the number in the middle is the median rent in 2008, and the one outside the circle is the 2011 median (it's meant to show how much rents rose during that time). State colors also reflect home listing prices at the time.

You can see more recent rent prices (for entry level apartments) by county at Apartment Guide, but we want to hear from you.
