Chris Evans, star of Disney’s slate of Marvel movies, praised Ryan Reynolds’ performance in the 20th Century Fox superhero film. “Wow…..Deadpool was AWESOME! Well done [Ryan Reynolds],” Evans tweeted on Saturday. Reynolds replied using the hashtag #TeamCap, referring to his support for the character in the upcoming face-off against #TeamIronMan in Captain America: Civil War. Joining Evans in praising Deadpool were Nicholas Hoult (Beast in X-Men: Apocalypse), Paul Feig (director of the Ghostbusters remake), and Chris Pratt (Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy). It’s original, it’s damn good, it was made with love by the filmmakers, and it wasn’t afraid to take risks,” Gunn wrote in part. “For the theatrical experience to survive, spectacle films need to expand their definition of what they can be. They need to be unique and true voices of the filmmakers behind them. They can’t just be copying what came before them.”
