If you want to do similar analyses, you may want to use the spreadsheets I generated from the AO3 Selective Data Dump. You can also reuse any of my data and cite any of my posts. I also have code on Github for scraping archives (warning: very old at this point, not well maintained). Also see my tutorials.

Fic and other writing -- I write fanfic, often polyamorous (I accidentally wrote a long Ted Lasso OT3 fic, and am writing another; I also wrote a Sherlock OT3 longfic). I blog about my cats, who were once feral kittens. I have greatest hits.

#i can't do the accents of the characters i write#and i am not a good voice actor#and those things jointly make me hesitant to try podfic for the fandoms i'm active in#(note that i think this is too high a standard - I've greatly enjoyed podfics by people who didn't do the accents!)#(but I'd find it distracting trying to figure out how to record characters with distinctive accents and/or voices that I couldn't imitate)#but there might be cases where i'd do it in the future#i'm not ruling it out#polls#podfic#i love podfic#especially good to listen to while migrainey

Anyway here’s a poem I wrote about my cat

After “Do not stand at my grave and weep”, author disputed:

Do not stand at your bowl and meow. I gave you food. It’s in there now. I feed you at the dawning light, I feed you at the fall of night. I feed you kibbles mixed with meat And wet food for a special treat. I feed you even though you scoff At all the food within your trough. I feed you and still yet you yell Like as a beast from deepest hell. Do not stand at your bowl and cry. I gave you food. You will not die.

I wrote one for my roommate’s cat as well;

Do not stand at my feet and cry It’s VEGETABLES, you silly guy! Your begging will not change the food Into a thing you think is good I’ll give you things not cheese or meat You sniff at them and then retreat And yet, as soon as chopping starts You run back in and beg for parts You squint your eyes at plant-based food And yet you won’t stop BEGGING, dude! Do not stand by the stove and bleat You don’t like this. You will not eat.
