Lilith K. Duat has done it again with a madly creative, extremely erotic book and I have another one to add to my list of favorites.

Ourania and Pandemos are two sides of the same coin. Dual aspects of the same goddess, Aphrodite. Both women seek the love of Ares but only one may claim him. They come up with a plan to decide once and for all, who will become the true goddess of love and who will claim Ares as their own. Fifteen names of creatures, gods and men are thrown into a hat, turns are taken to choose names at random, and each goddess must prove their power over lust and love over these couples.

The book is cleverly set into separate short stories of love, passion and hot as fuck eroticism but still forms one cohesive epic. This, to me, is their steamiest novella yet and again I loved the use of mythology and the clever mixture of gods and themes. The couplings were made up of ingenious choices and their interactions were nothing but insanely hot. The different stories of these different couples were all extremely interesting, sexy and the outcomes mostly completely unexpected.

A word of caution though, this novella contains scenes of m/f, m/m, f/f, f/m/f and some monster erotica all written in graphic detail as these couples are driven by obsessive lust to find release. It may just be too much for some but for those brave enough to take a stroll down the weirder side of erotica, the pay-off is more than worth it.

I absolutely LOVED this book. Hot, action-packed, intriguing and absolutely recommended.

This story was steeped in mythology yet completely original. I loved how we get a look at the grittier sides of the goddesses. Their personalities really shine through, creating an epic battle of wills and powers. Duat included turns of phrase that made me giggle and wove them into this eloquent yet very steamy read. The tale was well written. Duat has an enchanting way with words.

The well-developed characters were both approachable and aloof. It was perfect for this story where gods use each other and humans as playthings in an epic battle of wills. I found that the overall premise became a bit muddied at times by the various erotic relationships, but overall it was a hot and interesting read. I appreciated how there was more going on than simply what met the eye on each page. It also really highlights the will of the gods.

This was a new to me author that I’ll definitely be looking further into. Duat has done something completely original and rather remarkable in a world that brings mythology to life in a way that really highlights many aspects that tend to be overlooked by many while also creating a very hot and steamy read.

In the ancient past, there were once two Aphrodites, Ourania and Pandemos. Each over saw different aspects of love and lust, but neither seemed complete. The goddess felt they should merge, become one being, but who should be the dominate? Ourania or Pandemos?

A game is devised, oversaw by Athena the virgin goddess. Names would be randomly drawn from a helmet and the goddesses would take turns proving which form of love is best.

What follows is a series of erotic scenes catering to all wants and desires. Lilith mixes real mythology with steamy erotica, expanding on the world introduced in Balance in Chaos. There is something for everyone from guy-on-guy, lesbian, cuckolding, threesomes, and more. Each erotic scene is its own story of love and lust carefully crafted by Lilith, who is a master at squeezing out every ounce of passion from a scene.

My favorite was the lesbian scene. It is hot stuff. I won't spoil the players, but it is one steamy read.

As always, Lilith manages to interject heart into her stories that keeps you reading and excited. The story and scenes build to an amazing crescendo! For fans of Balance in Chaos, this book serves as a prequel, tying into that tragic tale.

*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. It's been my pleasure.

Accurate portrayal of the pantheon of gods? Check. Narcissus particularly impressed me.

Interesting mixture of gods and goddesses in a variety of situations that may or may not make one uncomfortable? Pleasingly yes. To say more may give far too much away. Check.

Situations that push boundaries with a writing style that makes the story interesting? Also check.

Overall this book was far more than I expected. It's erotica but it's humorous, it's sad, it's intriguing and yes, erotic. The twisted game of the Aphrodites draws you in, what will they think of next and can the pairings succeed? I kept turning the pages to see what would happen, how very naughty the two Aphrodites would possibly get. There may be scenes that push too many boundaries for the more timid reader, and the author does go into some areas that some may find far too taboo for normal reading but to go there is brave.

The overall story, however, is intriguing and one I plan to continue reading as the series progresses. The author has done their homework and for those that find a typo or two to be tantamount to child-murder you'll be pleased to note that I didn't see a single problem in the book. Your eyes, and mind, are safe from the use of a wrong word here and there (form instead of from for example), or the incorrect use of a word, which I find far more egregious. I found none of that in this book. Well-edited, carefully constructed, and entertaining in a variety of ways. If you're looking for something different from the thousands of mass-produced erotica books flooding the market treat yourself to this book. It has something for everyone and a very interesting look at gods many of us may have only studied at school. The gods at play are far different from the ones we learned about from dry old books with little imagination.

This was my first book by Lilith K. Duat. She sent me the book in exchange for an honest review.
I didn't read her previous book, but she told me it wasn't necessary.
This book is based on Greek and Egyptian mythology, so all the characters are gods, goddesses and their lovers. In this story, two Aphrodites (young and old) are having a contest to see which one is better suited to their job. They have Athena pull two names from a hat. Then they need to work their magic to make those two seduce each other, be they m/f, m/m or creature/creature. It was a pretty fun read. My favorite scene was about Medusa and another character (who shall remain nameless so I don't ruin the surprise). She and the other character are both misunderstood and in need of love just like everyone else and it was very touching.

Four stars!
This was a very well written erotic game. I loved how Ourania and Pandemos banter back and forth throughout. I really enjoyed how Ms. Duat took the mythos and made the characters come alive. I liked how she used the parts of mythology most people know. However she also included non-Greek mythology too. It was such a fascinating read and really well written.
It’s broken up into little vignettes that are sort of independent of each other, but not. Each one has a different set of characters that are easily recognizable. The beginning was a bit confusing since the two Aphrodites were hard to keep apart. Once I kept reading though, it was smooth sailing and eager reading. I was surprised by the turn at the end of the scene with Narcissus and Adonis. However I really liked how they were together yet not. It was fascinating watching Narcissus’ reaction. The scene between Medusa and Minotaur was actually quite sweet in a completely brutal and grotesque kind of way. My favorite scene is the one with Iarus. He is so lost in his reverence and pleasure is so pure. That vignette is wonderfully written. The ending though! Holy moly plot twist. I wasn’t expecting who Athena winds up having feelings for. I kind of want to know what happens there. All of the sex was really hot in this book. I definitely recommend it for the sensual nature, but also because it’s different and something with an interesting twist on characters from mythology.

Erotica of the gods.
if you're looking for subtle, look somewhere else. This is bold, crudely graphic and contains a surprising number of different combinations of sexual gratification between (mostly) divine/supernatural strangers. If that's your thing, this might well fit the bill. Unfortunately for me, it hit 'ick' on several occasions.
The two forms of Aphrodite compete to be the controlling mind and absorb the other and claim Ares. The contest is overseen by Athena and takes the form of attempting to cause randomly picked beings to have sex. Monsters, gods from different pantheons, and other mythical figures all rut, suck and rub their way to fulfilment, one pairing to a chapter. The partners involved range from m/f, m/m, f/f/f and f/m/f.
A scene from the first book is repeated, giving an explanation for the odd relationship between a Greek goddess and an Egyptian god.
